🛠️ Troubleshooting: Oil Pump Cannot Supply Oil in Pneumatic Punch Press

If the oil pump is unable to supply oil, follow these steps to identify and resolve the issue:

✅ Step 1: Check Lubrication Settings

Access the lubrication menu via the machine’s control panel.

  • Navigate to the lubrication section

  • Click “Lubricate”

  • Observe system feedback to verify whether lubrication is functioning normally

🔍 Possible Causes and Solutions

1. Obstruction or Leakage in the Suction Line

  • The suction pipe may be partially blocked by debris, increasing suction resistance

  • There may be an oil leakage prevention device installed that is malfunctioning or incorrectly set
Solution: Inspect and clean the suction line and check for component misplacement or wear.

2. Damaged Oil Pump Spring

  • The central spring inside the oil pump may be too short or broken

  • This prevents the plunger from returning to the cylinder block and oil distribution plate, leading to sealing failure
Solution: Disassemble the oil pump and inspect the spring; replace if damaged or worn.

3. Low Oil Level or Air in the System

  • Oil tank level may be too low, resulting in inadequate flow

  • There may be air leakage in the suction pipeline, or the pump was not properly primed with oil before startup
    Solution:

    • Refill oil tank to the proper level

    • Inspect and seal any leaks in the suction pipeline

    • Ensure the pump is properly filled with oil before starting the machine

📌 Maintenance Tip

Regular inspection of the oil level, pipeline seals, and pump internals can prevent many lubrication failures before they affect machine operation.
